The only thing i cling to is that in a few recent games

We have had spells where we were much improved.

I felt we played quite well for spells at the sc*m and we were definitely a lot better and played pretty well for the first half at Derby.

But......

Derby were utterly appalling and i'd be amazed if they are not bottom three come the end of the season; and

On every occasion we start to improve, Manning manages to screw it up by changing it unnecessarily, with a terrible reaction to his half time team talk or is outcoached by the opposition making changes we don't react to in time.
