I know for a fact, from a senior player there during the conversation between Manning and Knapper.
To paraphrase, Knapper told LM that Ipswich were interested in MN and MN was interested in Ipswich.
LM said that MN could f***k off to them, he wouldn’t get in his midfield anyway!
Believe it or not, it was LM who rubber stamped it, not BK.
