I do wonder whether his approach doesn't fit this group

Some managers drill their players. Some let them find their own solutions. He is in the latter camp but maybe these players need a manager who will just drill patterns of play into them.

I personally don't think he is getting the best out of the group, but there are few duffers in there too.

And ffs we need to sort out the fitness / injury situation. Either stop buying sicknotes or find out why they drop like flies. A succesful team is built on partnerships.
