I arrive early with my son too.
We perhaps spend £10-15 each visit.
I think we are a tiny part of the target market, let’s be honest they don’t make fortunes from people like us.
My perception is they have looked at clubs like Spurs where people spend multiples per head of what Norwich fans spend.
The Spurs ground offers a customer experience way more refined than what we will be offering, and it’s all within the bowels of the ground itself.
They also have a fan base who are more affluent.
Don’t forget Norfolk people are tight as f**k - either through necessity or because they don’t like spending cash!!
Where I sit the amount of people who will buy Morrison’s pies and even chips rather than buy from the club is ridiculous.
I can understand why they are targeting these people but offering expensive alternatives and hoping people spend their cash just because it’s at the ground is hopeful at best.
And back to your point that it’s people like us they are targeting, would I spend more than I do now when they open this fan park? Unlikely!
