Afternoon Wrathers. Welcome to Coolknee. Liam Manning will be joining us in the next 15 minutes to preview tomorrow's trip to Derby County🟡🟢

Lucien Mahovo has suffered a 'low level' injury in a similar area. Manning says he needs an 'individual plan' to get him prepared to come back into the Championship with all the intensity that comes with that. Norwich have to be patient after his surgery. It's a bit below the previous spot.

It's a bit early for Ben Chrisene and Shane Duffy. The latter trained this morning, but is likely to be one for the weekend. Mathias Kvistgaarden needs some more time at Colney to get back.

On Springett: 'A great character. Sometimes (that lay off) can reignite that hunger. He's been a good person to have around the place.' Manning sees him as an option down the left side. He feels he has the versatility to play in a range of roles.

Positive update on Elliot Myles. He is about two weeks away from a return from injury. Manning reiterates the importance of competition - something that they need to develop in their current spot.

Manning says the squad had a 'long meeting' yesterday where he showed them clips that backed up his words at the weekend around being 'too nice'. He says toughness is about staying 'concentrated for 90 minutes'. Again, he believes it has been the basics that have cost them so far within games.

LM: 'I don't come out and throw people under the bus. I don't name individuals. But I'm not going to hide because the fans see it. I'll defend the lads when they get it right. But behaviours are non-negotiable and I'm going to talk about that if that's the case. The lads know how I am. Sometimes we dehumanise players but they are on social media and see everything. It's not always a nice, smooth trajectory. We have to help them achieve. We all want the same thing.'

LM on recruitment: 'We have some really talented individuals, but we need to build a team. I think we need some leaders. I need to develop those. We need some to step up. We have some really honest conversations about where we're at.'

LM: 'We're aligned on what we want - but we also need time. I know we need more performances and results. We are where we are. We have to make sure we come up with solutions rather than reflect on what we didn't do well enough. That's how you move forwards.'

LM on leadership: 'Any head coach needs to know what you're getting. You don't want the bandwidth where you're producing one moment that is at 8/10 and then another that is 4/10. We need to be consistent.'

Q: 'Is this a big couple of games for you? Do you feel that?
LM: 'No. We're all in. From the conversations that we're having, I don't think so. I'm not concentrating my energy on that. We have to keep the lads quite level. We've got decent support going away on a Tuesday night and we have to turn up.'

LM on Derby: 'And another case of a big turn over of players, right? But we need to make sure we're at our best and for people to thrive under it. John is a top coach. You only need to look at his record. It's a tough game. They've outlayed a lot of money and will be desperate to win at home. But it's about us. We will be giving absolutely everything to win that game.'

That's it from Liam Manning today.
