Lawrenson surpassed his own idiotic status tonight when he said "come on referee

you are spoiling the game", to a challenge Borgetti made, which on the replay was a two footed tackle that the ref got spot on

Not only was he made to look a pillock over an incident, his damning of the referee spoiling the game was amazing, considering the referee made that game by keeping a good controlled lid on it

I didn't agree with the yellow Heinze got, but I understand it's an interpretation thing. The ref did let an awful lot of things go and both teams hardly ever complained at him, so he never ruined the game

The misunderstanding of the yellow cards that the bbc whipped up was unfair. You can easily see that the referee blew for the freekick, and then yellowed another player for a different incident altogether. Until they know what that yellow was for, then they shouldn't go on about a misunderstanding, then mention graham poll

The ref was brilliant, the game was brilliant, a classic
