Well that was frustrating

I’ve not seen any replays but I felt Vlad could have done better with the first two goals and even the third came from what should have been a break for us but we inconceivably managed to give the ball away again.

Generally we were a bit better again. I can see signs of very slow improvement but there is still just kit enough movement, pace and creativity going forward.

Didn’t think Ipswich were any good at all and their atmosphere was sh*t until it went 3-1. They are relying on moments of individual quality and the fact they have pace to run in behind. The polar opposite of us really going forward.

I thought Oscar and Stacey were very good. Crnac had a slightly better game. Mattesen was excellent other than when he lost it before their second but I can see that a midfield of him and Kenny with Topic or Oscar in front can be the way forward, if we can find some pace out wide. Sargevt though has to work so hard to get the ball due to the lack of effective attacking patterns in our play.

I don’t really know where that leaves me with Manning. I was of the view we need to sack him. I think I still am although I can see very slowly growing green shoots. Not enough though. I think we need to do something to stop the season becoming a sh*t show.
