Jaded is the right word for it
Some comments about how last night's performance wouldn't have been so bad had we picked up some points at home, which I think is right. It wasn't a great performance, but we had better chances than we've had in other games. Maybe an element of WBA not having to do much after they scored but they did need their keeper to make 3 good saves. I wonder whether Manning would have got much/any credit had we put that performance in away from home and won 1-0, right now I assume probably not.
I'm Manning out, but I imagine that unless we get battered by Ipswich / it gets really toxic then he will be given time. I don't think the club has much room to manoeuvre after sacking JHT and handing out a 4-year contract. My hope is that with an international break, maybe Kvistgarden coming back, Mahovo getting up to speed things will improve. I thought we had better balance with a back 4 and a left footed LB supporting and able to go outside Jurasek. Mattsson also looks promising, albeit we need to figure out the best combination in midfield to be effective, I don't think Manning knows who to pair or exactly what role they're meant to have which can't help the team.
I don't think this is a top 6 team/squad, I don't think it should be bottom 3, but the luck we've had / decisions Manning has made so far I wouldn't be surprised if the season became a horror show. Preparing for the worst on Sunday!!
