A major concern is that the players aren't technically proficient.

When we did complete a pass (which wasn't that often) it wasn't into the stride of the receiving player, more often behind them or too hard, which slowed momentum or resulted in a loss of possession. The time it worked well was the pass from Mattsson to Stacey which resulted in the goal.

In the words of Cruyff " Technique is not being able to juggle a ball 1000 times. Anyone can do that by practicing. Then you can work in the circus. Technique is passing the ball with one touch, with the right speed, at the right foot of your team mate."
