Under Thorup we controlled games and possession. Yes it was being undermined by individual errors and ultimately losing some in the dressing room but you could see what the pattern was and what we were trying to do and I do think that as with Farke it may have worked. We were good on the ball technically.
With Manning there is nothing to going onto at present.
I used to take these “l create a culture and let the players work it out for themselves” coaches with a bit of a pinch of salt but in his post match interview he radically said l “I’m going to have to step in now” so I kind of believe him. If so that’s not management. It’s lazy and it won’t work unless you are exceptionally lucky with the squad you have.
