Anyone changed their car radio themselves in a DIY stylee?
I've got a new headunit to replace the factory fitted one, and there's a metal sleeve round it - the mounting bracket, that it clicks into - I'm supposed to fit the mounting bracket into the dash, then click the head-unit into the bracket ...
Thing is, will the mounting bracket that my current factory fit radio is in be the same as the one that came with my new stereo? Are these things standard like that, or am I going to have to unscrew the old mounting bracket and put the new one in? Seems like a bit of a chore, and there's the logistical problems of it only being a 2-inch by 6-inch gap to work in - screwdriver crampage and all that .... anyone know?
