But on sifting through a huge (and I mean enormous) collection of old programmes it appears to have been 1st April 1989 V Liverpool.
Ronnie Whelan scored the goal, Liverpool ended up losing the title to Arsenal in dramatic style and 2 weeks after this game was Hillsborough
