In this case it appears that the professional got it wrong as many of them do. She will not be the only individual to receive duff advice from “specialists” this year and like everyone else who is honest has said OK how much more do I owe? It should only be if she tried to hide it that there should be an issue hence the parliamentary ethics investigation.
The problem she and most of the cabinet have is that it is hard to dig up sleaze and you are right that the knives are out but she will be tough to displace and this isn’t sufficient.
If it turns out that she turned down the opportunity to study medicine in the States though…
