You know how it goes....

...if he spends most of his time injured, on the bench or not in the squad, or if our own squad suddenly starts performing and getting results and we avoid losing the derbies, then we will have a chuckle at the money we got for him. And ultimately as you say will become as ambivalent about it as Ipswich have become about Gibbs.

However, if we continue with poor results, especially perceived as largely being due to a lack of creativity, and meanwhile Judas is making chances, scoring thunderbastards and free kicks, and heaven forbid plays a big part in beating us in the derby, then I think it may not dissipate so easily.
