No arguments from me.
I have long advocated we need to buy players from the EFL rather than some unknown league (and have management tell us they need to get used to the champs).
Not sure what the success to failure ratio of pasts loans but it feels like a higher failure rate than players we have bought.
It would seem young PL loan players have some question marks at their parent club which hopefully a loan move answers.
If they do badly we lose, if they do well we end up losing them to a bigger club.
TBF we do the same thing, we sometimes let players go after they go out on loan.
