Part of the model of selling players (at the right price when it's right for everyone) is it makes us more attractive to join in the first place.

In any case, the idea that we can not sell players that get better offers than us is wholly unrealistic. Look at bournemouth, not selling your star players isn't an option unless you're at the top of the food chain.
