What is so different about Schlupp from past signings?

Under Delia we signed experienced players many times. Think it has more to do with the manager or the director of football doesn’t it?

And anyway in recent years we’ve signed Duffy, Barnes, Batth, Forshaw for example.

Not that they were a great advert for experience but hey.
