We did end up out of trouble, but it was only temporary and quite a few of the loanees added nothing. “Decent form” is also being a bit generous - we peaked in mid table and fell away again and got relegated the season after. It was only going one way, Roeder prolonged the inevitable but not much and at the expense of a whole load of fan goodwill, making Delia’s following seasons quite a bit harder. Gunn’s loan players weren’t any more successful either.
