Amazed it lasted so long
There are *so* many wonderful bookshops in Norwich, if you like the Waterstones vibe there's that and it's a very decent one, my personal favourite is the Book Hive - they're not great at setting out displays but the staff are simply excellent, describe your taste/what you're looking for and they will give you great recommendations. You can have a free coffee while browsing too. But there are many others as well.
In general I wonder how the Jarrolds business model works any more honestly. I do know that for many chain bookstores the return per square foot is higher for the stationary/cards/etc than for the actual books!
