Trouble with the modern game...

In the past days of 1 or 2 (or none) subs an appearance meant pretty much always a full game. Now loads of people get an 'appearance' for 10 minutes or less,which makes comparison of statistics pretty meaningless. I'd prefer 'starts' as a stat.
