Costa de la Sprowston?
I've found a reference to NCFC “acquiring" (lease? purchase?) the Old Polo Ground for development & use as a training venue.
The site was on the north side of Salhouse Road - oppo The Racecourse pub - and predates (1988) the interest in Colney.
Pre-war Heartsease had strong military links (cavalry drill ground then aerodrome) and the site was within cantering distance.
Dunno what happened to the NCFC option but the site has now been developed for housing as 'Millers Field' (sic), part of the bigger White House Farm flog-off (search: Atlantic Avenue, NR7)
