Would we have finished higher under Wagner?

Obviously no one knows but this pinkun article got me thinking.

You can't look at the manager changes in isolation. Without Sara and Rowe then the Wagner team would have been much worse and seems less likely to me that Sainz would have been allowed the freedom which meant he had such an incredible start to the season. Also seems less likely that Fisher would have been developed in the same way.

It then comes down to recruitment. We know the recruitment is done by a separate team. It's possible if Wagner has stayed we would have recruited differently but that seems to hard to predict so I will assume we recruited all the same players.

I think that Wagner would have been much less suited to the players we recruited and they would have performed less well.

Seems most likely he would have been sacked before Christmas and we would have been relegated if not.
