Well. Of course they can, but after all the messages about a project and needing two or three years to get back on track, it wouldn’t be a great look to then fire him after one season.

The owners can’t really even go down the route that they don’t agree with the direction of the previous ownership as they were very much included in the appointment and strategy.

I think given all that, what needs to happen is for Attanasio and co to give a good budget for recruitment over the summer, and maybe even January, support a further refresh of the squad before next season, and then see if we see things improving by mid next season.

At that stage I would think they could legitimately say they haven’t seen the progress expected given the time and investment, and move on.
