The team Farke inherited came 8th the season before, JHT's came 6th last year

Hardly that different. Plus Farke still had parachute payments for his first season.
It seems a long while ago now but we actually looked a good potentially playoff team last autumn (remember the 'Hoffball' craze). Then everybody started getting injured or suspended and since then we've never once been able to put out a full strength (or close to it) side for a consistent run of games.

It's been a ludicrously difficult situation for any manager (let alone in your first year) and it seems crazy to really judge anyone based on this season. Except Long, he's clearly total s**te.
