KidWatch & next season
The Academy sides continue to struggle on matchdays, with just seven wins from 38 League fixtures this season (combined U21 & U18)
There is a NCFC Academy side in the Final of the Norfolk Senior Cup (date TBD), but this really doesn't indicate a strong group.
Elliot Myles is the standout from the Academy, appearing for U18, U21 and First Teams - a rare achievement.
Brooke & Gee (U21) and Madu, Sclare & Simbai (U18) have all missed a significant number of matches, presumably due to injury.
At time of writing eight of the second-year Academy Scholars have signed Professional contracts [Adelusi, Bracking, Chilvers, Daley, Domeracki, Owen, Sealey & Williams]. It is assumed that all of these will move to the U21s from July 2025.
Due to a rash of non-specified contract lengths the identity of summer departures from the current U21s is unclear, but I expect Doy, Ogwuru, Shipley & Tomkinson to be among them (maybe Finch & Manning as well)
Springett & Welch remain under contract but injury and/or age is against them both.
With Myles - also Adegboyega & Djedje? - moving up to the Senior Squad, the U21 group would likely remain at around 26-strong.
There are 25 in the current U18 group, with the (13) graduating second-years needing to be backfilled (Matron). Glossop, Tree & Tavares have all been integrated into recent matchday squads, so expect them to be offered Scholarship terms. Bucknor, Kipa, Sinclair-Brown & Tkaczuk are other lads who may get Youth deals, as well recruits from outside the NCFC schoolboy ranks.
Sorry for the words.
