Funny enough I was reading about the Percy family this morning!

In connection with one of their old gaffs in the North East. Infact Smithson was the original family name but Hugh changed it to Percy. This is the place in question, Stanwick Hall near Darlington. (Now demolished. The hall, not Darlington….although that’s debatable)
