I suppose in mitigation the club would say
he wanted to wait for the world cup to be able to put himself in the shop window.
Still feel though if you want a player you should juts try and get him as soon as he becomes available.
Thing is the world cup will distract everyone for the next month now allowing NCFC to wait til the end of July as usual!
