but it's the striking options I'm worried about, not the creation of chances. (a) I don't think Spud is going to be anything like fit (b) Owen is a shadow of his former self at the moment (c) Crouch is good if there's a quality finisher next to him, but there isn't one (d) Walcott doesn't seem ready (or surely would have come on) and (e) because we have Walcott and Jenas we have no Defoe or Bent.

Owne was given at least two fantastic passes - one from Gerrard first half, one from Becks seond half - and he flidded them both. Larsson and Wotsit were only kept out by Shaka having one of those miracle matches.
