They said it would take six weeks (minimum) to heal. And today's scan - timed to give them a chance to withdraw him from the squad if necessary - is 5 1/2 weeks after the injury.

Aside from that they've not really said anything, apart from Sven being optimistic he'll be fit, when asked.

So what exactly *is* the FA's role in this grand conspiracy?
