Where has our 11million pounds gone?

Taken from another site:

On top of 8 million parachute payment in the summer we sold the following:

Francis ?1.5million, Svensson ?100k , Helveg ?135k, Jonson ?700k which totals ?2million 435k.

Brought in Jarrett, Hughes ?500k, Colin ?263k which totals ?763k leaving ?1.672million.

For arguments sake lets bring January into the equation.

Outs: Ashton (rumoured proffit) ?2million.
Ins: Etuhu ?450k , Robinson ?50k, Earnshaw ?2.75million. total of - ?3.25mill.

In theory of the straight ins and outs that leaves us still in pocket of around ( (?1.672+?2) - ?3.25mill = ) ?422k from transfers. Now you can argue that that money has also gone on loans but that still shows that no additional money from the parachute payments has been used to supplement the purchases for the squad thus far. Whats more is that I may be remembering this wrong but didnt Delia pay for some of the Robinson/Etuhu transfer?

Anyway I think that people may find that we are keeping some money under the mattress so to speak for when there is less money available from players that want to leave. I suppose it would also be naive to think that some of the money from the sale of players didnt got towards other things but then the is also the freed up wages of the players that left who probably had bigger wage demands.

Anyway I would still argue that so far Worthington has only had what he has made to work with. I doubt it will be much different this summer with perhaps as much as a million pounds to play around with.
