Where to start

What do you expect from a 34 year old journeyman with a steady Division 1 career, when he's up against the likes of Van Nistlehorse and Henry every week with no central midfield to speak of (Not to mention the Ginger Disaster Area next to him)?

Was he really so much worse than anyone else? Is it just co-incidence that he was the key to our two half-decent (Should that be least-worst?) centerback partnerships (Fleming-Charlton and Fleming-Shackell)?

Someone dug up some stats a few months ago; A Fleming-based defence conceded goals at around two-thirds the rate of one involving everyone's idol Calum Davenport.
