Q1. For many of us, it was around October
Q2. Second indifferent season (season after POs). Third if you include the Prem where we were far less than indifferent for the majority. Injuries didn't help; but exposed our distinct lack of depth.
Q3. I wonder what he considers the basis of the squad? Before last season, we were going to build on the Green, Shackell, Francis, Ashton backbone. Two of them have long gone and one other is likely to be gone at Christmas if not sooner. Shacks is still around and then there's Hucks & Earnie obviously, Saffers and McVeigh possibly, although two of those have probably peaked and we can't get more than half a season out of Safri. And then there is ... Er ... The current squad might just squeak into the play-offs with a decent right-sided player, a good start and few injuries, but it's a fair way off auto-promotion.
