Enjoyed the game last night and some real positives I thought.
Sainz looks a player but hope we do not risk his long-term fitness by playing him too much too soon. Certainly seems an interesting character with a bit of bite as well as skill.
Fisher was really good. I think he will be our next big asset. Hard to believe that he has come straight out of non-league.
Long did well and will push Gunn I think.
Warner had a couple of iffy moments but did well overall - looks an option if required.
Placheta continues to look a threat but I am never sure if he is clear on what he is trying to do.
Not sure that Gibbs and Springett really grabbed their chances to impress.
In the end the result did not matter a great deal and Saturday is when we will see the true response.
Two away games in a week for me and I have not done that for a while. Have to admit to being pretty knackered now but not really dispirited despite the results.
Overall I was encouraged by last night's showing but ultimately it is Saturday that matters but at least it feels as if a little bit of trust was regained last night.
