From Canary Corner: Stoke Perspective on Clarke
Clive Clarke an opinion of from a Stoke Fan
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Afternoon Canaries! It seems that you are interested in our former captain from Clive Clarke currently residing in West Ham's reserves.
Well, he would be a decent player for you in my opinion. Plays at left-back but can also operate on the left of midfield (the times when Huckerby gets himself sent off for feining challenges I guess!) as well as in the midfield so he is what you might call a utility player.
Downsides, he can be a little light-weight and his passing is sometimes suspect. I guess it depends on whether you have an established left-back already and would be looking to use his as back up or as a first team regular. Safe to say he is not captain material (as we found out). Far too quiet for that.
Best of luck for next season anyway
I imagine we'll sign him then. Sounds exactly like Jim Brennan.
