I think we may be a little silly to view it as the definitive guide to football investment, given they're two blokes who write about sport for a living.
Yes we want this investment, but we should also consider that we are 'removing' shareholder rights (ie the right to have someone offer you equivalent value for shares) in doing so, or at least asking for them to be removed. That is something that is generally considered protective. Thinking yes is the only way to guarantee a future, is forgetting that this is, as your much loved YouTube says, just another step on the way. Who knows what we're asked to do next - and all for a pretty small amount of money.
