But, all that level really is, when you’re shopping with a £10m per player ceiling, is very good championship players. That’s not enough to buy PL ready players.

Judging him on that basis, Rashica wasn’t a great signing because he a) wasn’t that good and b) wasn’t up for the championship, and tzolis wasn’t great.

Sargent was a reasonable signing though. So yes, long way of just agreeing with you that he hasn’t nailed it, but he hasn’t been “negligent” as some might claim.
