Well. He was popular as a player on a Kenny level I think, but

By that I mean he was really good in his first seasons and then when we were in the premier league he struggled a bit. Which is also fine. But from what I remembered it soured a bit when he declared himself a centre back, then constantly made Gibson style errors but was seemingly undroppable both as a player and captain.

Would still have been fine I think until Farke arrived and he seemed to lead the mob of whingers about the new training regime, and got sent out on loan and made a few snide comments in the press.

I have that right I think? He was still in the house when Farke arrived? I’m starting to doubt myself now.

Wouldn’t say he’s hated though. Just not embraced as Wes would be (even though he did also refer to us as a s**thouse club).
