but from the exit interviews with him at the time I think he wanted to be playing more first team footy (he was pressing for more international call-ups at the time).
Not retaining Malky wasn't a make-or-break decision for our premiership season, but highlights the difficulties any manager faces when they have to overhaul a settled side.
