An interesting stat that could be important this year.

Yellow cards

Last season there were 2049 yellow cards/ 24 clubs/46games = 1.85 yellows per game/club

The first weekend there has been 57 yellows 24 clubs = 2.38

If this trend continues you will see a very sharp uptick in suspensions.
(More Reds plus more players hitting the 5,10,15 limits)

Let's see how long this ref clampdown on various things lasts.
