The wardrobe and sent me hurtling downstairs bollock naked with said giant humming bastard in hot pursuit bouncing off the walls sounding very angry. It then vanished.
After 20 mins hunting around armed with wasp killing spray, pint glass and torch I found, trapped and and sprayed the bastard.
It wasn't a wasp/ hornet after all. A quick Google revealed it to be a Cockchafer.
Anyway. It's dead now.
