I’ve been to 42 of the 50 States and S Dakota is one of

my favourites. Often think peoples perception of the States is cities but the landscape between them is often beautiful. S Dakota is all about wildlife and the landscape. We went primarily to see the buffalo herds of the Black Hills but also the incredible geology of the Badlands. I’d also recommend the Mammoth museum at Hot Springs where dozens of bones were discovered and you actually walk indoors amongst the excavation. Lovely mountain biking trails, lots of wildlife and a really beautiful area. We flew into Chicago then on to Rapid City. If this is your idea of travel rather than just chilling out then I’d definitely recommend it.
