Sorry to interrupt the Shipping Forecast
but PL2 (aka U21s/U23/Reserves/Stiffs) will be moving to a single 25-team league from August, using the Swiss Format.
As usual, the change was at the behest of the bigger clubs, who were concerned that they were not getting their own way on all matters.
In short, City will be playing the bigger clubs slightly more often, but the target of getting promotion from the second tier has been removed.
It has also been confirmed that City U21s have (again) not been invited to participate in the Papa Johns for next season.
And now, back to speculation on if it will rain ....
