I just dont know.
Maybe he feels that's his only option with these charges (stretch things out) and test the laws of self pardon (or transfers power to a vice president who pardons him)
I think he loses badly to everyone not called Biden.
I just don't see how Trump wins the middle ground which decides every election.
25% of the people are in a Trump cult.... another 15% are holding their noses because they will never vote Democrat.
(he has lost the popular vote in both elections.)
The worry from his side is the 15% just don't turn out to vote this time.
If the Democrats can bring forward a half decent reasonable centrist candidate, he gets creamed.
