I heard it from my mates partner when I went to see Gomez q couple of years back. She repeated an old trope that female fronted bands are rubbish because girls can't play guitar.

I had to seriously bite my lip on that one. She's quite high up at a railway company and even though she would have fought hard to get where she is, she still repeated old crap like that.
