Dowell has been a bit part player who has never had an extended period for us without injury and has hardly been the player for us that some are making out. The fact that he’s gone to Rangers tells you a lot. If he’s that great why hasn’t another Championship team come in for him? Like Cantwell he’s gone for the money and an easy life being a big fish in a very small pond. Says much about their priorities and ambitions. He’s no great loss and it’s not another “Webber balls-up”.
