Definitely a Colchester feeling at the game yestersay.
I sit very near the opposition dug out and back in 2009 I remember thinking that their management seemed very clear on what they were doing and absolutely ruthless.
Yesterday was similar for me. I have never been keen on the idea of Russ as our manager but he really impressed me yesterday. He was very animated, very clear in what he was demanding, seemed to have very strong communications with his players. No sentiment just a ruthless efficiency.
These are qualities that we seem to be missing across the club. It is all way too cosy and comfortable.
Regarding the Webber out calls - there was a clear message around where I sit that he has to go.
We need big changes and Webber has to go to facilitate those changes, however painful they may be. Butler and Lappin were trying to suggest that it was only some fans making that call at the game - I would say it was the vast majority.
