Honestly, this is all for the best
If we had scraped a win and then eventually narrowly missed the playoffs, it would have simply been papering over the cracks. It would have allowed various people in various places to pretend we were "nearly there", and we would have heard all sorts of "if only".
The entire club from top to bottom is an unholy mess. We need this to happen so that we can avoid the denial and cut through the bulls**t.
So many bad decisions over such a long period of time have led to this.
