I think it is fair to say that we have had terrible signings before Webber's era

E.g. Naismith 11m, Wildschutt 8m, Ricky VW 10m etc. ALL clubs have flops too, often costing much more than ours.

I would actually argue that the current crop do actually have some sell on value so will make some money back. I think the difference with last year was that no-one proved to be an absolute bargain and stepped up. So yeah, a bad year in that respect.

We have always struggled to sign good players in the Prem because we are not an attractive proposition. It is very difficult for us to compete and the club are probably trying to balance too many different things.

You probably have to go back to 12/13 for a relatively successful Prem recruitment: Snod, Bassong, Tettey and Turner for 10m.
