Oh dear 😨. This is the first story of it's kind that I've heard. If it's true....
It is very common for people who are in a poor state of mental health to become socially withdrawn. Chatting to AI in the future may offer some comfort to such person's when they are vulnerable. I hope that some kind of safeguards can be built into such AI to prevent any such tragedies occurring in the future.
