I think going up was managed fairly well in the Mcnally years

we were relatively competitive, and had some kind of strategy. We gambled a bit on trying to attract bigger name signings, but also invested lot in buying talented young players and improving the youth system. Which then both financed and comprised much of Farke's team.

Webber, by contrast, has just tried to play Championship manager, and has failed.
